Standard Permits

All foreigners need a permit to enter Sikkim. In most cases, 2 passport size photos and photocopies of the passport are required. This permit is free and easily available through the following:

• All Indian Embassies and High Commissions throughout the world (preferred option).
• At the Rangpo border checkpoint on arrival with valid Indian visa.
