Tumlong Palace Ruins
In between the Phodong and Labrang monasteries lie the Tumlong Palace Ruins. This was the 3rd capital of Sikkim for almost 90 years when the power base was shifted from Rabdentse during the early nineteenth century.
The Ruler’s Palace is completely in ruins and covered by foliage. However, many of the chortens (stupas) around the Palace are still intact.
