Singhik

Singhik is a small picturesque town at an altitude of approximately 6,500 feet (1981 meters) and is about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from Mangan. Mt. Kanchenjunga (Khanchendzonga) and the Indian Himalayan range including Mt. Siniolchu, considered the most graceful peak in the world, can be viewed up close and personal from Singhik. There is a Tourist Lodge that provides accommodation at reasonable rates.

Short nature trails of 1 to 3 days along the higher ridges of surrounding hills can be undertaken in this area. A short 30-minute uphill hike leads the visitor to the ancient Singhik Monastery.
